What library resources are available for graphic design students?

The Parkland Library has enormous resources for graphic design students. Besides books, there are periodicals, videos and devices available for students to check out. You also have access to article databases and image databases like ARTstor as well as inter-library loan for books.

If you have any problems checking out periodicals, please ask to see a librarian (student workers are sometimes not informed).

Loanable Technology

Parkland students may check out iPads, Chromebooks, video cameras, etc (more info). Fine & Applied Arts students may also be able to check out specially equipped 12.9-inch Ipad Pros (23 units) for specific classroom projects (see your instructor). Here's what's loaded on the iPad Pros:

Students will be required to sign a Loanable Technology Borrower Agreement which states that borrowers are "liable for any loss or damage to the electronic device, up to the full replacement cost..." Ipad Pros can be checked out for 2 weeks and may be renewed in person.
